Mauro Pittiruti, Giancarlo Scoppettuolo
Dr. Mauro Pittiruti is a surgeon at the Catholic University Hospital in Rome and serves as the coordinator of a multi-professional vascular access team. He is a co-founder of the Italian Group of Venous Access Devices (GAVeCeLT), the Italian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SINPE), and the World Conference of Vascular Access (WoCoVA). With nearly 40 years of experience in the field, he has authored over 100 scientific papers and several books on venous access. In 2009, he was honored with the Herbst Award for Excellence in Vascular Access.
