Walter L. Hurley is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Dairy Science from the University of Maryland, followed by a PhD in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky. He completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, before joining the faculty at the University of Illinois, where he taught for over 30 years.
