Dr. Sonja Fonfara is a board-certified specialist in companion animal cardiology and a Professor at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover and completed a doctoral degree in veterinary pathology at the Justus Liebig University Giessen. Her advanced training includes a PhD from the University of Helsinki and specialist cardiology training at the University of Liverpool. She holds the title of Docent in Small Animal Cardiology and is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA).
