About
Dr. Rosanna Marsella is a distinguished veterinary dermatologist and a Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (DACVD), she earned her DVM from the University of Milano in 1991 and has been a dedicated faculty member at the University of Florida since 1997. Her extensive career is marked by significant contributions to the field of veterinary dermatology, particularly in the study of allergic skin diseases. Dr. Marsella's research program focuses on the immunology of allergic skin diseases, the pathogenesis of canine atopic dermatitis, and the development of novel therapeutic interventions. She is widely recognized for her work on skin barrier dysfunction in both human and canine models, as well as her research into allergic diseases in horses. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, she is a prolific author, having published clinical texts such as 'Clinical approach to feline dermatologic diseases' to support practitioners in the field.
