About
Levent Özçakar is a Professor in the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey. He completed his medical training in 1997 and his residency in 2002 at the same institution, where he subsequently advanced to the roles of Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2012. He is a recognized authority in the field of musculoskeletal ultrasound and has dedicated much of his career to advancing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in physical medicine. Beyond his clinical and academic duties, Professor Özçakar is the founder of the TURK-MUSKULUS and EURO-MUSCULUS initiatives, which focus on education and training in musculoskeletal ultrasonography. He has organized numerous national and international workshops, delivered extensive lectures, and contributed significantly to scientific literature. He serves as a reviewer for dozens of international journals and has held leadership roles, including serving as a national delegate for the EULAR Standing Committee on Musculoskeletal Imaging.
