About
Juan Pablo Zaera Polo is a distinguished veterinary surgeon and academic specializing in traumatology and orthopedics. He earned his degree in Veterinary Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1988 and completed his doctorate at the same institution in 1993. His advanced clinical training includes residencies at the Clínica Quirúrgica in Munich and the Orthopaedics Department at the University of Michigan, as well as an internship with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Hanover. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Surgery at the School of Veterinary Sciences of the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), where he also leads the Traumatology and Arthroscopy department. He is a recognized author in the field, having published significant works on bone surgery and fracture management in small animals, and is a frequent speaker at national and international veterinary conferences.
