About
Josep Pastor Milán is a distinguished veterinarian and academic who earned his veterinary degree in 1989 and his PhD in 1994 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Since 1991, he has served as a faculty member at UAB, where he currently holds the position of 'profesor titular' (Associate Professor). His academic and clinical work is primarily centered at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the UAB, where he specializes in small animal internal medicine, clinical oncology, and hematology. He is a recognized Charter Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) and has served as the president of the International Society of Animal Clinical Pathology. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Pastor co-directs the Clinical Haematology Service at the UAB Veterinary Faculty. His research contributions include extensive work on blood cell analyzer validation, clinical pathology, and oncology. He is also a published author in the field of veterinary education, notably writing on clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis to help practitioners and students refine their diagnostic skills.
