Dr. Ignacio Sández Cordero is a distinguished veterinarian and specialist in anesthesia and analgesia, holding a degree from the Complutense University of Madrid (2000) and accreditation from AVEPA. Throughout his career, he has focused on advancing the field of small animal anesthesia, serving as the coordinator of the Anesthesiology Department at Sinergia Veterinaria since its inception, where he has provided expert services to over 100 veterinary clinics and hospitals. His commitment to the profession is further evidenced by his role as a founding member of the Spanish Society of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (SEAAV), where he served on the Board of Directors until 2012. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sández is deeply involved in academia and research. He is a professor at the Universidad Europea de Madrid, where he contributes to the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences. His research interests include hemodynamic monitoring, capnography, and pharmacological effects during anesthesia in small animals. He is a prolific author, having published numerous scientific articles and authoritative textbooks, including the 'Manual of Anaesthetic Monitoring in Small Animals,' which serves as a vital resource for veterinary practitioners worldwide.
