Gian Carlo Di Renzo is a distinguished Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine, recognized internationally for his extensive contributions to perinatal health and medical education. He served as the General Secretary of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) for two terms and has held leadership roles in numerous global health initiatives. His academic career includes serving as the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Perugia and as a Professor at the I.M. Sechenov First State University of Moscow. He is a prolific author and editor, having contributed significantly to the literature on clinical practice and malpractice in labor and delivery. Throughout his career, Professor Di Renzo has been honored with numerous international awards and holds honorary memberships in 34 scientific societies, including fellowships with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
