Germán Quintana Diez is a veterinarian who holds both a degree and a PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Santiago de Compostela, earned in 2002 and 2013, respectively. He furthered his expertise with a Master’s degree in Small and Exotic Animal Medicine from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2004, followed by a Master’s degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2009. His clinical foundation was established during an internship in animal medicine and surgery at the USC Rof Codina Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where he served from 2003 to 2005. Throughout his career, he has also served as a visiting fellow at various prestigious national and European clinical institutions. Currently, he focuses his professional efforts on the Internal Medicine Department, contributing his extensive knowledge to the field of veterinary clinical practice. He is a co-author of the book 'Low-Stress Handling in the Veterinary Clinic,' which provides practical guidance for veterinary teams to improve patient well-being and clinical procedures.
