Fernando Laguna Sanz is a distinguished veterinary ophthalmologist and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO). He earned his veterinary degree from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2009. Following his graduation, he gained international experience working as an emergency veterinarian in Paris and completing internships at the Alfort National Veterinary School in France. He subsequently completed his residency in veterinary ophthalmology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) from 2012 to 2015, achieving his ECVO board certification in 2016. Currently, Dr. Laguna Sanz serves as the Head of the Ophthalmology Service at Hospital Veterinario Puchol in Madrid, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex ocular diseases in animals. In addition to his clinical practice, he is a collaborating professor at the Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, contributing to the education of future veterinarians.
