About
Felipe de Vicente is a distinguished veterinary surgeon specializing in small animal surgery and orthopaedics. He earned his veterinary degree from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2003 and completed his PhD at the same institution in 2009. His advanced training includes a rotating internship at the University of Glasgow and a residency in small animal surgery at University College Dublin. He attained the European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery from the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) in 2014 and became an RCVS-recognised specialist in 2016. Throughout his career, Dr. de Vicente has held significant academic and clinical positions, including serving as a Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and Senior Lecturer and Head of the Orthopaedics Department at the University of Liverpool. He has contributed extensively to the field through his clinical work at institutions such as Pride Veterinary Centre and Hospital Veterinario Puchol, as well as through his editorial role at BMC Veterinary Research and his involvement with the AOVET European board and international education commission. He is a recognized author of professional veterinary literature, including works on small animal orthopaedics.
