Antonella Polimeni is a distinguished academic and clinician serving as the Rector of Sapienza University of Rome, a position she has held since December 2020, becoming the first woman to lead the institution. A graduate of Sapienza, she has been a faculty member since 1995 and previously served as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Her leadership roles have included coordinating the PhD program in Skeletal and Orofacial Diseases and the Specialization School in Paediatric Dentistry.
